Part-Time Receptionist / Assistant


The receptionist/assistant should meet and greet customers, providing a positive and friendly attitude. They check in customers as they arrive for their scheduled appointments. The receptionist/assistant will provide daily maintenance of the shop front, hallway and waiting area. The receptionist/assistant will also help in the set-up and clean-up of work rooms as required by the service technician. Some light photography of clients before and after services could also be skill that can be learned/taught and become a daily responsibility and opportunity for growth. 


The receptionist/assistant is responsible for answering the telephone, listening to voicemails, taking accurate messages, greeting customers, cashiering, and scheduling appointments. Other responsibilities include notifying staff members of any customer cancellations or the arrival of any unscheduled visitors.

Daily duties also include light administrative and clerical duties, such as opening and relpying to email, filing, data entry and the preparation of shipments.

Light dusting, sweeping, and care for plants as well as straightening and maintaining the store stock will also be required as needed.


A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency is preferred as well as excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills. Professionalism is also required and prior customer service, salon or spa experience is preferred.

Knowledge of computers and software programs, such as accounting, scheduling, e-mail and word processing software is must. The ability to operate copy machine or scanner, are often required.
